How contacts are collected

Contacts come from two sources during a game:

• Scorekeeper email -- when the person keeping score enters their email at the start of the game to receive a copy of the finished scorecard.
• Player opt-in -- at the end of the game, individual players can choose to receive their scorecard by email. They enter their address and optionally consent to marketing communications.

Both methods are voluntary. Players are never required to provide an email to use the scorecard.

Viewing your contacts list

Go to Contacts in your dashboard to see all collected email addresses. Each entry shows the player name, email, the date they played, and whether they consented to marketing.

Filtering by marketing consent

The contacts list can be filtered to show only players who opted in to marketing. Use the Marketing consent toggle to narrow the list. This ensures you only reach out to players who explicitly agreed to hear from you.

Exporting contacts as CSV

Click the Export CSV button on the Contacts page to download your contacts as a spreadsheet-compatible file. The export includes:

• Player name
• Email address
• Date of visit
• Marketing consent status

You can import this CSV into email marketing tools like Mailchimp, Constant Contact, or any platform that accepts CSV uploads.

Privacy and consent

Player privacy is important. Here is how consent works:

• Email addresses provided solely for scorecard delivery are marked as “scorecard only” and should not be used for marketing unless the player also opted in.
• Players who check the marketing consent box have explicitly agreed to receive promotional messages from your venue.
• You are responsible for complying with applicable email marketing laws (such as CAN-SPAM, GDPR, or CASL) when contacting players.
• Always include an unsubscribe option in any marketing emails you send.
